As an educator, I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically and engage deeply with the material. I have taught a range of courses, including Interpersonal Communication, Romantic Communication, Research Methods, Health Disparities, Written Communication and Public Speaking. My teaching centers on active learning, encouraging students to apply knowledge through collaboration and real-world applications. I aim to equip students with the skills to navigate and shape complex communication landscapes.

I utilize concept mapping as a key method in my teaching to help students actively brainstorm, organize ideas, and draw connections between theoretical concepts and real-life challenges. By visually mapping out their thoughts, students can better understand how different ideas interrelate and apply these insights to practical situations. This approach not only deepens their comprehension but also empowers them to effectively use theory in solving real-world problems.

I focus on delivering well-organized lectures that incorporate multimedia and interactive tools like Kahoot! to keep students actively involved. I make it a point to relate course material to students' experiences, which helps them connect theory to real life. I take pride in knowing my students by name and fostering a classroom atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged to participate. My goal is always to make learning dynamic and accessible, and I’m committed to continuously refining my approach to ensure that my students are both engaged and challenged.
